silver webs and juniper

you’ve seen them.

DSC07426the silvery spider webs stretched like a ragged hairnet across the tops of a shrub, spikes of plant pushing up and through, but no matter to the spider, their world secure, dew its lock.

DSC07427the sun glints off the skein of spider silk, shredded cellophane.DSC07428could you collapse your life into the time a spider has on this earth? living in the juniper, your web your world?
