from a tiny _____ a mighty ___ will grow

from the ridiculous to the sublime.  old hat.  as cold as a witch’s _______.  you just never know.  as blue as the sky.  it was a dark and stormy night.  a shot rang out.  beauty is only skin deep.  crying over spilled milk.  fall head over heels in love.  the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.  in the nick of time.  love is blind.  silence is golden.  reached new heights.  tip of the iceberg.  actions speak louder than words.  the ball is in your court.  personally i.  throw it against the wall and see what sticks.  truly, very unique/rare.  it’s not rocket science.  the crisis is urgent, but if you invest some sweat equity into it, it should become past history.  no problem.  gnashing of teeth.  everything is fair in love and war.  old dog/new tricks.  airing dirty laundry.  i’m all ears.  ass backwards.  a jerk off was jockeying for position.  like peas in a pod crossing a bridge when they come to it.  what’s that got to do with the price of eggs in chicago?  i could go on, but i weary of this task.  (getting rid of them now: the 100,000 trite phrases and redundancies each one of us carries around inside our peaked little brains, so i won’t be inclined to use them later.  see, even then ‘so inclined’…oh, and ellipses as well.)
